Typically, each Order requires a set of accompanying documents. One of the most important, the Bill of Lading is dynamically created on Kontainers Edge.
However, there are other documents that can and should be associated with the Order and the Files & Docs section of each order will allow you store documents specifically for that order.
Firstly the document must be saved in digital form as an 'image' or a 'pdf'. Most image formats are supported. To add a document you can just 'drag and drop' the image or PDF to the screen from your desktop. If you prefer you can also tap on the 'Drop' image and browse for the image on your PC.
Once you select the file, you can either leave the description field 'blank'. However, for certain types of document you may want to let the Forwarder know you have uploaded it as soon as it is ready.
To do this go to the 'description' dropdown, select on of the pre-defined file types in the list and select 'Done'
Selecting 'Done' will automatically notify the Forwarder that the document is available and ready for processing.
If you have made an error, selecting the 'bin' symbol will prompt you to delete the document.
IMPORTANT: The 'Files & Docs' area is a shared document area. Placing a document in this section of Kontainers Edge automatically makes it available to the Forwarders support teams. Please do not store any documents in this folder unless you intend to share it with the Forwarder.
