Rather than have a user enter the same information per container multiple times, in Kontainers you only need to enter the cargo and commodity details once and then use the 'Copy Details' feature to add the same information to each of the containers in your booking.
Copy & Paste Details
In the example below we have 5 containers in our booking, the first 3 are three are 20' Drys with the same Cargo. Container 4 and 5 are 40' HC and have different cargo details but are carrying the same gods.
We enter the details for our cargo in Container 1 and want to copy all the information from Container 1 to Container 2 and 3 in our Booking.
Once you have fully completed the the Cargo and/or Commodity details in container 1 of your booking, select the 'Copy Details' button in that container header.
Select what you want to copy 'From' your selected container (in this case everything) and select which containers in your booking have the same details.
Select 'Paste' all the Cargo and Commodity details in Container 1 are copied to container 2 and container 3.
In this same booking we have the same cargo in container 4 and 5 but the cargo details are different.
In that case we again select 'Copy Details' from any of container 1 (or container 2 or 3 as they all now contain the same cargo details) and select 'Copy Details' again.
Now we only need to copy across the Commodity details to container 4 and 5. You can then complete the details for container 4 and 5.
Remember, you also have the option to Complete the cargo details in Container 4 and then copy the details from container 4 for the rest of the booking as needed, in this example container 5.
Copying between different Equipment types
Although not typical, bookings can contain many different types of equipment, including a mix of e.g. Reefers and Dry.
When the 'Paste' button is selected, the system will validate that the data coming 'From' on container to all of the 'To' containers is appropriate and will notify you if you if e.g. you are trying to copy Reefer values to a Dry container.
Using Copy to remove information
Finally, be aware that you can copy cargo details from any container to any other container so, if you made an error or want to leave a commodity blank until SI stage, you can simply edit one of the containers already completed and overwrite the current cargo details with new details, including empty fields.
